Breech Position

Acupuncture and moxibustion may be used to support women whose baby is in a breech position during late pregnancy. Treatment is typically offered between 32 and 36 weeks and is tailored to the individual. The aim is to encourage optimal conditions for the baby to turn naturally into a head-down position.

Moxibustion is a traditional technique that involves the gentle warming of a specific acupuncture point using a herb called mugwort (Artemisia vulgaris).

Treatment is tailored to the individual and can often be continued at home with guidance.
